What to Expect at Your Visit
A Crisis Support Worker will meet and be with you throughout your visit.
You won’t have to sit in a busy waiting room. We see one person at a time for privacy and comfort. A specially trained doctor or nurse will explain everything clearly and at your pace.
You control what happens – nothing will be done without your agreement. After your visit, we will arrange follow-up support, such as counselling, sexual health services or medical care.
At our centres, we can:
- Check your health and well-being and offer treatment if needed.
- Collect forensic evidence if the assault happened recently, but only if you choose to.
- Provide emergency contraception and medication to protect against infections if needed.
- Talk through your options and help you decide what happens next.
