You can bring a trusted adult, family member, or friend for support. If you are under 16, you must bring a consenting adult.

Can I choose to be seen by a male or female doctor?

We will do our best to provide a doctor or nurse of your preferred gender, but this may not always be possible.

How long will I be at the centre?

Most visits last between 3 to 4 hours, but this varies depending on what support you need.

What happens in an examination?

A specially trained doctor or nurse will explain everything before you decide. They may check for injuries and provide treatment if needed. If the assault was recent, they can collect forensic evidence (only if you want this). We can offer emergency contraception and medication to protect against infections.
